After growing up in the Cowichan Valley located on Vancouver Island, Dr. Jed Leech attended the University of Victoria where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours). This was substituted with coaching water skiing camps for kids throughout the summers (Many on Shawnigan Lake). He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of British Columbia.
After 4 years in Vancouver for dental school, Dr. Leech worked several years in Kamloops. He is very keen come back to his family and friends in the Cowichan Valley.
Dr. Leech approaches dentistry from a preventative patient-centered perspective with an emphasis on patient education. He loves socializing and getting to know each patient’s unique story. He values relationships and is eager to build long-term connections with anyone in his chair.
Some of Dr. Leech’s notable hobbies include nature, hiking, mountain/road biking, water/snow skiing, watching sports, online chess, and keeping up with world current events. Areas he looks to improve in are his cooking skills and flexibility.
